WhatsApp Android user can format text as bold, italics and share Google Drive document

Now you can format your text in WhatsApp. WhatsApp has added two new features for its android users of its new 2.12.535 update, which was released earlier this month. Those using updated version can format text and make it bold or italicize as well as share documents saved in their Google Drives.

To make bold or italicize any text, put asterisk marks (*) and underscores (_) before and after it,
respectively.

Only updated version has this feature. Otherwise the text in the example above appears like *hi* _How's it going_.

The other key feature WhatsApp has introduced for Android users is the option to share files shared in their Google Drives. However, the files are converted to PDF and stored locally on the device instead of being shared as a cloud-based document.

In order to share files with others, users need to choose the 'Browse other docs' option in 'Document' under 'Attachments'. Google Drive files as PDFs can be shared with people on older versions (than 2.12.535) of the app on Android as well as iOS users.

Generate Leads and Branding for Your Business With Facebook Ads

Facebook ads can work for virtually any business, it is a great source to generate leads and branding for your business. You just need to know how to use them. If you really want to blow up your business with Facebook ads, you should follow some of the most effective ways as follows.

Have a Strategy
You should have a strategy to market anything. Without strategy you can not get right direction. Some of the advertisers spend a bunch of money into Facebook ads without a strategy or plan and then are disappointed when they don't get any returns.

You should alway be clear on how much you are looking to spend, how long you want your campaign to run and how much profit you want to earn from this campaign. Once you have launched a campaign, take a moment to stop, assess how it has performed and determine if you need to make changes, otherwise you will just keep throwing money into advertisements hoping they will eventually work.

Use a Formula
When you start a facebook advertising campaign, you should aways follow a formula. You sould get the right offer in front of the right targeted audience, articulated the right way. “When we spend $400,000 on Facebook Ads in a 6-8 week campaign we need to come out the other end with significant profit for ourselves or when we work with a client, so we need to get it right before we make a single advertisement.”

An offer on running shoes is not going to do as well when presented to a retirement community as it would to a running club, no matter how great it is. The right offer is only as good as the group it’s being targeted to. Finally, you need the right message, which means clearly articulating what the offer is and why it is valuable to that group of individuals.

Make Sure You Focus on Targeting
When it comes to finding your target market of consumers, you need to really think about who you’re targeting, instead of just spitting out a general idea “we sell running gear so we target runners.” According to Simkin, his team spends between 2-4 hours studying the target and they focus on more than just gender, age and location.

The CEO claims the key is to really dive into beliefs, values, interests and lifestyles. You need to really understand who you are marketing to when creating advertisements. It will really pay off in the end.

Tailor Your Ads to Fit Your Target Market
When it comes time to create Facebook ads, you will see a little box known as Audience Definition. This box tells you who this specific ad will be targeting. One of the best things you can do when focusing on Audience Definition is to think small. It can be really tempting to see that your ad could potentially reach 1 billion people, but that is not what you want. You want to focus specifically on your niche to begin with. So narrow down your audience details.

Pick a few cities or areas you want to target, pick an age range within 10 years that you want to target and even pick some more targeting features like interests, education or relationship status. Ideally, you want your campaign to reach 5,000 to 15,000 people. While it doesn’t sound as exciting as reaching 186,000,000 people, you are now targeting the right people who are most likely to buy or take action on your offer.

Write Great Copy
Many people don’t focus on copy of ads. But it is important to give your copy the right amount of attention as it can make all of the difference between a good ad strategy and a great ad strategy.

Start with an engaging headline that will draw people in but keep the body of your text simple, easy to read and straight to the point. You only have a few words to work with so make them count. Don’t waste your space trying to be super creative. Make it easy to understand and compelling. Your text body should include two things: more details about your offer and then a call to action.

Make sure to click on the “Advanced Options” feature and create a New Feed Link Description. This should include a clear call-to-action for your readers. Finally, make sure that you consider the Call-to-Action button underneath your copy. Facebook says it is optional, but studies have found it leads to the best conversions, so don’t overlook it.

Don’t Forget About Split Testing
Once your ad is launched, the work isn’t over. You also need to focus the right amount of time and energy into split testing when you are done. You should know within 150 clicks how an ad is doing and whether or not they should adjust the ads. This allows him to launch to launch multiple variations of an ad and quickly figure out which ones are generating the best success rate. At the same time, he also recommends not pulling the plug on an ad too soon if you don’t see immediate results. He believes the goal is to not give up too early when split testing, and to give it time.
